She was the wife of Ueno Takatogu. In 1575 when her husband's castle was falling, she refused to be killed and led a counterattack with the remaining thirty four female servants along with eighty three soldiers who retreated into the keep. Although her last charge couldn't save the castle, the enemy admired her bravery and buried her together with her husband and the thirty four female servants.
